Cody Badger, my friend who I studied with in Argentina, came to pick us up after we flew back into Chicago. He and his girlfriend, Elizabeth, were watching our car while we were gone for the month. It was a culture shock seeing all the concrete and flat landscape. We were literally coming down from an amazing high in Alaska and not wanting to leave. That feeling didn't last too long though after we got some sleep and spent some time with Cody & Elizabeth, who are both a ton of fun. Then we met up with Katie & Ben again and Cara. Annie and I went on a 20 mile bike ride along the lake and to the aquarium. We weren't planning on spending much more time in Chicago after we landed, but the Pirates were coming to town for the weekend. We were able to find some cheap tickets for Friday & Saturday's game. That whole gang I just mentioned all were able to come on Saturday so we figured we'd stick around for that game too.

Friday morning we drove out to see John with Apex Flooring. He buys a lot of flooring from dad and has a nice showroom we checked out. When we got there one of his partners got us hooked up with some all you can eat / drink rooftop tickets. It was great game. Pirates won 3-1 that day and the next day they won 7-5, but had a long rain delay, and we didn't stay to see the grand slam at the end of the game. We were watching the game back at Ben's though while we were playing cards.

That night we ended up staying longer due to the long game and we went to a house warming party of Katie & Ben's friends. Annie ended up winning $100 playing ping pong.
